One of my favorite classical works to date, Pearl Chertok’s Beige Nocturne captures the moment it was intended for - wine tasting at sunset. A trailblazer, Pearl Chertok was staff harpist for the CBS orchestra and championed composing for the instrument. A graduate of the Curtis Institute, this work is from her “Around the Clock” series.
